Not sure what to say?

I worked alongside Dr. Bernie for many years at Ethicon. How do you sum up someone's life who has had so very many amazing accomplishments? From my perspective, it was Dr. Bernie's caring for others that truly stands out. My condolences to the family. Godspeed Dr. Bernie!

So sorry. Great guy.

I did not know Bill well, but crossed paths with him numerous times at Ethicon. He always took the time to be friendly & share a story or two (often about his boat!) while imparting wisdom on a number of subjects. Once you met him in a meeting etc, he always took time to say hello while passing in the halls, lunchroom, whatever. An impressive life full of accomplishments & generosity, a model for us all. My condolences to the family.

You were an amazing man Dr. Bill Bernie and you will be missed! You have left an amazing legacy of healing and touched countless millions of lives with your life's work in surgery and at Johnson & Johnson. It was truly an honor and a privilege to work with you! My condolences to the family. With much love and respect! God bless!

Karen, I am very sorry that your brother passed away. You always speak so lovingly of your family. Your parents created a tremendous legacy with their children.

Dr. Bernie will be missed by all who met him and had the fortune of knowing him. A professional of the highest integrity and distinction. He had a kind heart and a sharp wit. My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

Dr. Bernie is a true legend here at EES where his years of knowledge, dedication and contributions helped make J&J a better company. The work he did here continues to live on. I have great memories of visiting Bill in his office on countless occasions over the years to obtain his signature on project documentation and although this did not require a lot of time, Bill and I would always engage in longer conversations on all manner of topics. I always enjoyed our one on one talks together...

So very sorry for your family's loss. After reading about Bill's accomplishments, it is obvious he was an inspiration to every life he touched.
