Dr. William F. Besser M.D.

Found this obituary quite by accident. I was a long time patient of Dr. B. Up until his retirement. Hope his retirement years were happy ones. Condolences to the family.

Bill and Ruth were our next-door neighbors in Barnegat Light. He and Ruth were always so kind and were good friends. He will be missed.

To Ruth and family, William and I had similar ideas about living. Summers we we spent on Long Beach Island, NJ, sailing and playing tennis. Many winters we spent in Long Boat Key, FL enjoying the weather. After retirement, Bill took up painting and sculpting. I was his mentor and teacher. All our friends, myself included, will remember the "gentle giant" called Bill. Marvin Levitt

We met at grammer school (Logan Demonstration), where Bill's Father was the school doctor, and again in High School (Central High 186 class). Always happy to see each other. Dr. Bessel was my gynecologist and obstetrician for my entire life until his retirement. He was the kindest and most wonderful doctor and I feel very very sad to learn of his passing.
