My father was a great man. He was a good business man, a dedicated family man, quiet and gentle, with a firm presence. He spoke infrequently, but when he did one was attached to every well chosen, softly spoken, paused at just the right time to make a point, word. He was a person who made people feel welcome. My Dad was a man who put his arm on your shoulder and you knew you were in the presence of kindness and love.

He always had a smile, a kind word and a hand to offer you
He was gentle, yet strong, warm of heart and character too

He was a devoted husband to one and beloved Papa to more than a few
He was a thoughtful and generous man - to all that he knew

He was a fisherman, card player, poet and world traveler
He was a cook, handyman, and quite the prolific gardener

He was the dedicated father, especially when he was most needed

Although his heart had stopped, his love filled the room.
Although his arms were stiff,
they embraced those who came to visit.
Although his body was cold,
he warmed people’s hearts with memories.
Although his smile was gone,
his humor was present.

all could see he was a good man.

My dad was the best...always caring, always there for all of us Biddle kids, always easy going. And always the proud PaPa to all his grandkids. As my daughther Analise said, "It's okay because now PaPa is with Aunt Sherry in heaven". Just never dreamed it would be so soon after her passing.
