Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC - Pen ArgylWilliam R. Biechy, 83, of Pen Argyl, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at his residence. He was the husband of Roseann (Williams) Biechy, together they celebrated 65 years of marriage October 8, 2025.
Born in Pen Argyl, August 3, 1942, he was the son of the late Ralph and Verona (Labar) Biechy.
Prior to retiring in 2006, he was employed as a fork lift operator for Victaulic, prior to that he was employed by the former Taylor-Wharton Co.
Bill was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pen Argyl, a retired member of Lookout Fire Co. #1, Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania State Fireman’s Association, the 4 County Fireman’s Association, Charles Nelson Lobb Post # 502 of the American Legion, life member of the former Fleas Club, Easton, life member of the Roseto Rod and Gun Club, the Bangor Jacksonian Club, the Martocci-Capobianco Post #750 of the American Legion Roseto and it’s Society of Baffone Club.
In addition to his wife Roseann, he is survived by his children, Cheryl L. Pekar and her husband John of Laurel Run, Ralph M. Biechy and his wife Belinda of Pen Argyl, Kenneth W. Biechy and his wife Bonnie of Lebanon, Indiana, and Billi Jo Cangley of Palm Harbor, FL, four grandchildren, Michael McCance and his wife Lisa, Allyson Hamburg, Lucien Biechy, and Madison Cangley, two great grandchildren, Desmond Cannon and Kyleen McCance, a sister Rosanne Hedgelon and her husband Robert of Stroudsburg and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Biechy.
A Memorial Gathering will be held, Saturday, April 11, 2026, beginning at 11 AM until 1 PM, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 12 N. Westbrook Avenue, Pen Argyl. Interment will be private at Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl. The Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, Pen Argyl is in charge of arrangements.
