Yadkinville ? Mr. William ?Bill? Franklin Brandon, 77, passed away September 6, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Bill was born on January 23, 1938 in Davie County to the late William Poe and Juanita Myers Brandon. He was a member of South Oak Ridge Baptist Church and enjoyed attending services at Pilot View Friends Meeting. Bill attended N.C. State University and was a retired dairy farmer. Raising crops in the fields and dairy farming was more like a hobby for Bill than a job. Bill helped support the youth in the community and always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Darlene Ellis Brandon. Surviving are his children, William ?Billy? (Charlene) Brandon, Rodney Brandon, and Talisa Brandon; grandchildren, Christopher (Bailey) Brandon and Amber Brandon; great grandson, Roe Brandon; sister, Ann (Don) Burke; brothers, Tom (Sara) Brandon, and Kent (Sue) Brandon; special friend, Linda Williams. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2015 at South Oak Ridge Baptist Church by the Rev. Chris Hauser, Rev. Nelson Puffenbarger, Dr. Phil Beavers, and the Rev. Josh Williams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Flowers accepted or memorials can be made to South Oak Ridge Baptist Church Youth Department, 1336 Lone Hickory Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Taleitha so sorry to hear about your dad! I had the privlage of helping to care for him at yadkin valley community hospital. ..he always kept me laughing and he had me trained well! I knew that when we had hamburgers ...he needed cheese and I needed to make sure it was melted! He loved salads however said they didnt like him so I needed to find a replacement. ..he was always joking around! It was a privlage to help care for him ! God Bless you and your family
