Passed away on April 7, 2020, at 93 years old, after living independently in his Elkins Park residence. He was a beloved husband of his late wife Jeanne (nee Lempert) of 54 years. A loving and caring father of Barbara (Andrew) Lewis and Andrew Jarrett; dear brother of Bryna (Marvin) Gutkin and the late Irving "Itz" Jarrett; devoted grandfather of Gabrielle and Dylan. William supported his family as a self-employed businessman and later as a gaming supervisor for an Atlantic City casino. He graduated from Central High School, Class 181, in Philadelphia, PA, which holds a distinctive honor, with his fellow classmates to have the most consecutive reunions in the school's history. He was a respected Navy veteran of WWII and was honorably discharged. Services and interment are private.
