Not sure what to say?

Hello,
I knew Billy on several levels, though we didn't talk much lately. Our hoops conversations would often last long on the phone. As a coach I asked for advice on coaching my son, and he told me about his son. He really wanted his son to know hoops didn't matter much when it came to father/son relationship- he loved his son no matter what- that came out strongly in our conversation and I often remember that when coaching my own son in high school at Armstrong HS.

Stunned is the best word to convey how I felt when I heard about Bill's death. It was almost the same as hearing about Herb Brooks. A total shock. As a fellow classmate I followed Bill's coaching career and was proud at his success. At class reunions we always said "hi" and we'd talk. I'll miss his positive energy and good humor. If I had been in town I surely would have been at the service.

I have fond memories of Bill's earlier days even before he married Andrea. I believe I was at the wedding. He has coached many young women I know, including Jill Tichy. I think of you all often. I am so sorry the world lost his great energy so early. Kathy Sworsky Anlauf

I am extremely grateful to have had him as my supervisor and friend. I loved that man. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Mckee family.

To the McKee Family, my prayers and sympathy go out to you. Bill was a great guy. I knew him from Corrections. I am so sorry for your loss.

AS a fellow classmate and team member I was so very sorry to hear the sad news. Billy was always a gentleman in so many ways. Great person, team mate, and track star. He will be missed. God Bless his wife and family. Words can not express the sorrow I have in hearing this news.

As a judge in St.Paul I was well aware of the wonderful work Bill did there but not so much of his "other life" as a coach etc. A nice man who touched many and a life well lived. My condolences to Joan and the family.

Andrea and family
Billy McKee was perhaps the nicest boy at Cretin- funny and warm. I'm so sorry your loss.

So sorry to read of this loss. What a fantastic life he shared with so many. My condolences to all.

From an old neighbor, Kay Cantrell back then!!!
