It was with great sadness that I read of the passing of Dr. Bill Bissell. I had the great opportunity to know him many years ago, (1963) as a student of his Medical Laboratory Technician classes at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital. His support made it possible for many to carve a career in the clinical laboratory arena. He was a fine mentor and a very special person. I will always remember his extraordinary compassion for the out patients who would come to the lab for tests but could not...
