Not sure what to say?

He was our family doctor for nearly 40 years....I love him and will miss him dearly....your family is in my daily prayers....u were a great doctor and a friend....

Dr Black was my family doctor for nearly 20 years. Such a kind soul that went out of his way to help in anyway possible. You will forever leave a mark on our hearts with your caring heart. Thank you for all you have done. May you rest in peace.

a Cherished friend during our Dublin days. Quiet , unassuming but always with a ready SMILE, May the Good Lord bless his Soul, Faizal Khan South Africa

Willie, a quiet Scot and a good friend. Our paths diverged on graduation in 1972 but crossed, totally unexpectedly, in Toronto in the late 1980s when I was summoned to an apartment in the U of T residence where I met his family (Dola may recall the details). Heartfelt sympathies to Dola and Family. "So fill to me the parting glass, And drink a health what'ere befall, then gently rise and softly call, Good night and joy be with you all." John (Vancouver)

Very sorry to hear the sad news about Willie. A great guy with a good word for everyone. A talented soccer player. We have good memories. Mike Canning

There we were on the top row as you look up over the "prereg" class, seated alphabetically-- Black, Bohan, Borestero, Braunstein, and Cowan, a small club as it were, that met at every reunion. We'll keep Willie's chair empty when we meet again.

Condolences to his family. I know he was adored by patients. Sorry he will miss TO hosting the World Cup. Another time to have a pint in his memory.

I send Dola and the children my condolence on hearing about Willie´s death. I have nothing but the pleasantest of memories of Willie all through the years in Surgeons. Thinking about him and those times brings a smile to my face and sadness too. It was great to see him at our reunions. May his memory be a blessing to all of us. Rest in peace Willie.

Willie is well remembered as a clear all rounder. The type who is seriously bright with communication skills and a sense of humour, but is seen after hours with a ball in one hand and a pint in the other. A sympathetic kind man. This is the makeup of a great doctor. I am very sad to read this and send sincere condolences to Dola and all his family.
