William Fant Blackerby Jr.

I met Bill Jr. at his lovely home in Phoenix several years ago while visiting his sons, Bill and PHillip who are my maternal cousins. He remembered my mother, Gladys Horton Gurley which touched my heart. He certainly looked dapper in those days.

My prayers go out to Bill and Phillip, Heidi and her family. Life is precious and we should live each day as if it were our last. Try to do all the good you can while you which seems to be Bill, Jr's philosophy in life.

Mr. Blackerby was a dear in helping me with my Blackerby research. He never considered my questions foolish and was always quick to tell me about others who were interested in the name of Blackerby. A Mr. Mason who lived across from my sister in Nashville knew Mr. Blackerby from Kentucky. Small world! My sympathy to Phillip and Bill, his friends, and relatives.

Sometimes we see the stars in the
darkest of night.

i remember my time with Mr.B very fondly we had lots of great conversations over lunch and on our walks.may he be at peace now
