Not sure what to say?

Bonnie,

It was a sad day for me when I heard of Bill's accident.

My condolences to you and your family.

Bill will be missed.

Carol

To Bill's family:

I met Bill when he joined us (O.C. Harbors, Beaches and Parks) for a field trip here in Orange County. California has lost a wonderful bikeways advocate and an all-around nice guy. He will be missed.

With sympathy,

Dear Bonnie; Jeff and I are so sorry to hear about Bill's terrible accident, and your great loss. Please know that our tears, thoughts and prayers are with you all the time.

I met Bill, twice, both while cycling. The first time in 2003 during Cycle Oregon. He was very kind to me and helped me fix my first flat on my Bike Friday. The second time was this February when he gave a talk at the Pac Tour Desert Training Camp. Such a kind, warm, gentle man. I will miss him.

Bill was on the PACtour 2004 Bike Friday week, as I was I. His stories of biking were wonderful. I'm shocked and saddened to hear of his accidental death.

Bonnie,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
The obituary was beautifully written!

I knew Bill for more than 20 years and have done many SuperTours and other bicycle rides with him. He was warm, funny, and one of the toughest riders on the tours. I am deeply saddened by his death and knowing I will never enjoy his company again on the bicycle.

I can see my fellow "Table Captain Major" scurring around the KTEH Auction floor helping to make the event a success. He worked very hard to bring improvements to the merchandising process and when I moved from volunteer to Auction Manager I relied on him heavily to keep the tables rolling smoothly. Bill never let me down and he kept us all smiling!

My heart is heavy on this day for the world has lost another great man. I considered Bill a friend and someone to look up to. He was a magnificent advocate for cycling. He will be truly missed. My condolences to his family.
