Not sure what to say?

So sad to hear of Bill's passing. My memories are mainly of high school years and his talents in sports. He was also a good friend, and later, both he and his wife, Bettie, were both friends and neighbors for a time. Friends always. My deepest feelings for his family.

Im so sorry to hear of Bill's passing he was a great friend of my fathers, Glenn Easter, What I remember about Bill is that the day I was born my Dad was working for Bill and he came and told my Dad ahhh Glenn just another boy...Dad believed...Then Bill was like No Glenn it really was a girl...My Dad bailed off that cat and away he went to Eureka, you see I have 4 older brothers. So from all The Easter Family our thoughts and prayers are with you!!

I met grandpa Boak when I was 12! What a great man to have known. Him and Betty treated me like family from day one, then having their great grandson made it even that much better. What a wonderful man and wonderful family! Love you all

As a much younger forester (1980s - 90s)I knew Bill as a vibrant story teller and a tough logger who appeared to enjoy a challenging setting just to prove he could do it. I watched Boak Logging at work on Big Laggon and Van Duzen areas under LP ownership. Now in my own older age class do I fully treasure and appreciate the stories and experiences. I feel honored to have known such a fine icon of the timber industry. Good bye Bill.

I am so sorry to here about Bill. He could always make me laugh. We had such a great time when we were hunting in Wyoming.I can still see him standing in his camper cooking in his underwear, he said that was how he like to cook. He will be greatly missed.

Bill was an awesome guy.He will be missed by all who knew him. Our condolences to the Boak`s and thier extended family.

What a mans man. I always looked up to Bill and respected him. He was many things to many people. I am fortunate to have known him. He made a lasting positive impression on me. On many I suspect. I will not forget him.

I started hauling for the Boak Family in the late 70's when I worked for RC. Bill and the boys were always good to haul for. Bill you were a Great Guy and had many great stories, I will miss you RIP my Friend.

Dear Boak family,
My husband, Chas, told me everyday "We have to go to Bill's services, he was one of the good ones." Never in a million years would I have thought Chas would pass away and have his own services the day before Bill's. Chas posted Bill's obit on the wall of his office so we wouldn't forget. It is so sad to say we lost 2 "good ones" and I wanted to send my condolences. I know Chas is up in heaven selling all the old timers wire rope. He never stopped working here on Earth and...
