I met Bill through his friend and mine, Jim Epperson, over ten years ago when Jim was a renting an apartment in Bill’s house. Jim was good friends with Bill and would help with many things both in the gardens outside and around the house. When Jim moved I was happy to be able to help Bill out with things when he would call and also to carve a Halloween pumpkin for his porch each year. Bill was always helpful to me to, knowledgeable about many things and he shared his wealth of knowledge...

It started by me carving a pumpkin for Bill's porch when I was his tenant. Since, I have moved away my friend and Bill's, Keith Harder, has carried on this tradition with my influence. Bill, thank you for being such a good friend and at times a father. I will miss our conversations and your stories. Your friend Jim.
