Not sure what to say?

Dear Dori and family, My deepest sympathy to you all in the loss of this charming and gentle man. May the light of his beautiful soul shine on forever in your hearts.

I remember my uncle bill when he sang to me. He always made laugh with his great jokes because he was so much fun and filled with so much spirit. I also remember him sitting in the Port Henry swing at my moms house just enjoying each others company. He is a man that will always be remembered for his love of life and spirit. He is a great person who was very wise in his life. I love you Uncle Bill always.

The windows of his soul had azure curtains,
Behind which one could glimpse,
A crowd of merry-makers,
Itching to take the stage and SING.

Bill loved life and he lived it beautifully. He was a kind and caring brother-in-law and I will miss him.

The Family at Christian Brothers Academy wishes to express their condolences to the Family of Dr. William Bode '41.

I was so blessed to be able to remember my Uncle Bill as a sweet singer. His rendition of Irish Eyes Are Smiling will always be one of my favorites! He will be missed, but his legacies will go on.

Bill reflected God's light in this imperfect world by making God the center of his life. He had a spirit of grace, love and goodness that radiated to everyone he knew.
I will miss him too.

Dear Dori, Jacky, Frank & Graham,
We are so sorry we will never again hear the dulcet singing voice of Bill, with the funny hand gestures that I believe he taught to Bill Cosby.
My siblings & I spent summers visiting his home in Vorheesville, and going to the camp in Plattsburgh with his family to learn how to play hearts and eat freshly caught perch and eel. We continue to try to visit with our cousins, particularly the equine and skiing center at Marston's in Vermont, and enjoyed...

I am so sorry about the passing of Dr. Bode. I enjoyed talking to him when I was at CBA. He was a great man.
