I was so sorry to hear of Dr. Bonner's death. When I was little he just seemed so big, like he could make everything be ok, and he usually did. He would scoop me up and put me on the baby scale even after I thought I was much too big for it. I knew he cared about me. He was a wonderful doctor and a wonderful man. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.

Even though we were at the funeral home, there just wasn't enough time to express our feelings adequately. It has always been a pleasure to be with Bill & Caroline wherever that may be. We will always remember Bill with his beautiful camelias. May God Bless!

The Bonner Family has our deepest sympathies. Dr. Bonner was not only my pediatrician, but he was also my mother's and aunt's pediatrician when they were young. He was a wonderful doctor and will be missed by many. He touched many lives in this town. Your family is in our prayers.

I was a patient from 1974 until Dr. Bonner retired and have yet to meet a doctor that I loved as much as him. I can still see Ms. Jane at the counter keeping things under control. My mother kept all the visit sheets from my visits and that is what I've used as I'm raising my own three boys. Athens has lost one of its greatest heroes and he will be sadly missed. I will miss seeing him in the halls as I work at ARMC. Much love to the family.

It is with sadness when I learned of Dr. Bonner's death. He was my pediatrician fom birth to age 18. I remember many of my visits to his office on Prince Ave., and the secretary, Miss. Jane Clarke, as I grew older. I was his first Pyloric Stenosis patient, so my mother said. After visiting Dr. Bonner, whenever I was sick, he either gave me a shot, of which I was terrified of, or a prescription to my mother, and we would go around the building to Village Drug Shoppe, where Mr. Dooley would fill the prescription. Once, while visiting Dr. Bonner, he walked in the room, and asked me how was I doing. I said, "Fine". He peered at me over his glasses, and gruffly said, " You don't need my services, then, if you are doing fine."

May God rest his soul, and comfort his family in their loss.

My very deepest condolences to the entire Bonner family. I had the pleasure of serving 6 years on the UGA Institutional Review Board with Bill. He was a wonderful gentleman and always put the interests of the patient or participant first. The University and community will miss him greatly.

Harvey much admired Dr. Bonner's work and I admired him for keeping my 3 children healthy and always being calm even if I was not when the children were ill. We will miss seeing Dr. Bonner at the many events he and Mrs. Bonner attended in Athens.

I can still see Dr. Bonner(with his watch pushed high on his arm to keep from scratching a baby) examining my infant daughter. He did it with such ease and patience because she was usually screaming. He was a special doctor, so easy going. He kept her healthy until she refused to go anymore at age 13. He will be missed by all of us who knew him.

With deepest sympathy to each family member. Remembering you, Caroline and Flora from the privilege of knowing you during the Sundays I enjoyed being in the Jewel Class with you.

Sincerely,
