William "Bill" V. Bowen, Jr.

Receiving this remembrance of the anniversary of Bills passing took me right back to our home room days at Shaker. I can clearly remember Biils impish smile and lightning quick, left-of-center comments that made me laugh....
like it was just yesterday.

I met Bill perhaps two years ago at the Stone Oven. When we were first introduced, he made some caustic remark. We became friends from that moment on. I always enjoyed my conversations with him. He used to stop at the garage just to talk. I will miss him. What an wonderful guy he was.

Condolences to all of Bill's Family. Bill was a kind voice , and his humor always made me smile.

Mr. Bowen was my chorus teacher many years ago at Cardinal Junior High School. I remember him well and have often thought of him over the years. My condolences and prayers go out to his family.

You have been in my thoughts and prayers, and I send my heartfelt condolences to you on Bill's passing. Bill and I met and crossed paths professionally in non-profit organizations and philanthropy. We discovered many mutual friends associated with Hiram, Case and the Aurora community. Bill was a wonderful person - a loving husband and father, caring friend, dedicated professional. He will be missed by many but never forgotten.

When I was looking for a new job, Bill was my biggest supporter. If I didn't have plans, I'd go to Stone Oven, where he'd be holding his court and it was just laugh riot. When the crowds left, he'd offer genuine support and encouragement for my search. He always knew the right thing to say to keep my spirits up and I greatly enjoyed hearing about his family; his children's accomplishments and grandchildren. We were just "coffee date" friends, but Bill made an indelible impression on me.

I knew Bill for a short while when I was a student at Case, but I immediately recognized his positive and caring influence and his passion for improving student life. My condolences on the loss of a great man.

My prayers go out to the family - Mr. Bowen headed a group with light heartedness and compassion. Those we served were first in his mind, always. I worked with him at The SA a rather long time ago.
