Having just losing my Jack this year, I can so understand your pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I worked with Bill for his last five years with NRCS. He called me while I was stationed in MT to tell me that I had been selected to fill an engineering vacancy in the PA state office staff. We shared many challenges and arrived at good results on various projects that came our way. I recall one of his favorite replies he would issue to students of our Conservation Boot Camps that might be complaining that the work was hard to do. He would often reply "Ah, but you can do hard things.". ...

To the Bowers family, I worked with Bill throughout my 32 years career with USDA NRCS and he was always a great listener and gave great advise. He will be missed dearly.
