Please accept deepest condolences from the Striplin family of Hartford, Alabama. I appreciate the fitting tribute to a great Auburn man that I just read. I pray for your strength during this tough time. War Eagle, Jim Bob Striplin

So sorry to hear about Bill´s passing. We were football teammates at Auburn I was a tailback and he was an offensive tackle. He used to break his but trying to make sure that his efforts paid off for me and our fullbacks al Giffin and Tom bryan. Rest in peace my old friend and my condolences to his wife and family .

I was deeply saddened to hear about Bill's passing. We grew up a few blocks from each other near Birmingham-Southern's campus, and along with Richard Burch, Robin Walker, Bookie Weir, and Tom Rosdick, we were known in a loving way by Bill's mother as "The Little Monsters." Bill was one of the last of this group, and he will be missed.

Dear Cynthia, I literally just saw Bill's obituary 10 minutes ago on the 'Ensley 1964' website. I offer you my deepest sympathy and treasure our days in Selma with Louise, Robin, you, Bill, and Jim at the annual Selma CC golf tournament. If we had known earlier, we would have been at Valleydale Church for Bill's service earlier today. I remember Bill from Ensley, a really good guy - one of the best! Audrey Ann Prude Wilson

I send my profound condolences to the families of Bill Braswell, a remarkable citizen of the Birmingham where we grew up in the neighborhoods around Birmingham-Southern. I can still see in my memory a picture of a solitary, dedicated Bill practicing booming punts in an empty Munger Bowl. We were classmates at Ensley and I watched him blossom as an athlete. Years later, when I was a guest on Paul Finebaum's show, Bill called in and we reminisced about the 1964 Auburn-Alabama game. I was on...

I am deeply sorry to hear about Bill´s death. Bill was my best friend at Graymont elementary for my first 5 grades, then I moved off. I followed his career and always very proud of him. May his soul rest in peace.

Bill was my MYF counselor at Ensley High UMC. He was kind , funny, BIG, and wanted us all to know we were loved . He and Lou opened the doors to their home on Sunday nights and any other time we wanted to come . He did his best to teach us Biblical truths through lessons but his best instructions came from unfailing presence, attention, and trips to Baskin Robbin´s in 5 Points West . He was a giant in my heart and I know he felt the same about all of us .

Bill was my very best childhood and high school friend. I loved him like a brother and will dearly miss him. I hope that all of you get the strength that you need to grieve his passing. Blessings, Fred Burnett

Bill was my younger Brother, Fred's. best friend and had been ever since they played on the Ensley High School basketball team together in the early 1960's. Bill was in my folks home many times and virtually "took over" my twin bed after I left for college in 1960. Of all the friends Fred and I have ever had, I do believe Bill was our Mom and Dad's favorite! He probably ate more of Mom's fried chicken and banana pudding than I ever did!! :-) More than all of this though, my fondest...
