Pellerin Funeral Home - Breaux Bridge Obituary

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge for William "Brice" Fitzgerald, Sr., 60, who passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 11:00 pm on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 7:00 am until funeral service at 11:00 am.

Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the Funeral Service.

William "Brice" Fitzgerald, Sr. was born in Travis County, Texas to the late Bernice Brice Fitzgerald and Barbara Jean Burk Fitzgerald. After moving to the Acadiana area he graduated from Lafayette High in 1975. After which, he began his long-standing career in the oil and gas industry, as a salesman.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Brice loved his family and was always very involved with his children's activities. He often coached baseball, and when he wasn't coaching you could bet he was the loudest one in the crowd cheering on the team. Brice will be remembered as the outgoing, loving and generous guy who never met a stranger and had a heart of gold. His bigger-than-life personality will always bring smiles to those he knew and loved.

He is survived by his loving children, William Brice Fitzgerald, Jr. and wife Lindsey, and Falyn Fitzgerald Dupuis both of Breaux Bridge; one sister, Dianna Jean Fitzgerald of Austin, TX; one grandson, Jean-Pierre Dupuis; and three granddaughters, Briley, Brynlee, and Blakely Fitzgerald.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Grizz Manry.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, 211 Berard St., Breaux Bridge, LA 70517, (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.

Not sure what to say?

Brice and I spent many summers at our grandparents house in Austin. Playing, competing about anything and all, like who could climb the tallest tree and climb higher and faster; who could mow the lawn better, etc. Last time I saw him was at Grandma´s Rosie funeral in Austin. We had a fun visit remembering our childhood adventures!

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I always knew that if I got in a bind and needed help, Brice and Grizz would be there for me. Both great guys and both taken from us way too soon. Lil Brice, we spoke at Grizz's wake and I told your dad to take care of himself so that I wasn't headed back that direction any time soon to pay my respects to him. Little did I know.... I'm in bed with the flu, otherwise I'd be there. Please accept my deepest sympathy to your entire family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sweet memories of Brice, Brice Jr. And Falyn, especially on 4th of July and the trampoline.
God Bless All of You,
Ron, Loretta, Zachary, Taylor and Ashley Brazzel

I know Brice along with his little brother Grizz and his parents and grandparents are all looking down at the beautiful celebration of life his family planned for him saying I sure do look good in my new suit and I'm so darn good looking!! He can now see from heaven how proud he is of his family I know he is with God and at Peace. Our greatest reward is our arrival in heaven.

Brice will be missed very much. You were always helping us any way you can at the apartment complex. You were a very good person. RIP Brice till we see each other one day in heaven. God bless your family.

Will always remember you when I had Gloria;s on Merchants Blvd. Such a great guy and a gentleman. God Bless family and friends, Gloria

So very sorry to hear of Brice's passing. He was so kind and caring. He really helped us when my Father was diagnosed with Cancer. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do to help.

Our condolences and many prayers for memories to be cherished. Grizz, Brice, and Dad made so many happy memories together. God Bless all his family and friends. He will be missed.
