Dr. William Brigman

I have had the priviledge of knowing Bill Brigman through the Popular Culture Association and Texas AAUP. His legacy for both organizations is one of committment and inspiration.

Dr. Brigman was one of the most inspirational professors I have ever known. I admired and respected him very much. I feel blessed to have learned from such a brilliant person. I send my heartfelt condolences to the entire family. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

What a sad time for your family and for the entire UHD community. Bill Brigman was a kind, just and brilliant mentor. He set a high standard for himself and for his colleagues; I remember him best for that wonderful quality.

I wish to express my deepest sympathies to Lil and the rest of Bill’s family. I meet Bill when I began my career as a professor at the University of Houston-Downtown. I am proud to say that when I left, I could call him both my mentor and friend. He had a reputation for being demanding yet he was extremely fair. My sympathy goes out to the Brigman Family. I'm a former student of Dr. Brigman at U of H Downtown. His teaching made a big impact on my life which mold and shape my thinking of how to approach and analyze different law cases. Dr Brigman was one of U of H's finest that will always be remembered.

Bill will very much be missed by his UHD family

As I was retelling memories of playing monopoly with Bill, to my wife, Justine, I realized how prevalent he was in my life and the many memories I have that were unique to Bill. Bill came to visit my family every summer, by bus, always by bus. I remember him taking long walks throughout NYC, and his excellent advice that never seemed to be overly preachy, he was a great role-model!!
