Not only do I well remember Bill´s larger-than-life personality as a classmate at Brown, where our paths often crossed later at Brown reunions and fund-raising events, but it was during Bill´s tenure as director of the Pan American Society in Boston that I met Martha Montero, a colleague of Maria´s at BU, who has been my life´s partner for the last 45 years.
