Mr Broucek was welcoming to me when I joined his large family. He took my children fishing frequently on his "pond" and loved to take them out for rides on his property. A pillar in the financial arena, I had longed to meet William Broucek, a founder of Ann Arbor State Bank. One day I was coming in to the bank and he was coming out. I said, "Mr. Broucek, may I introduce myself as your customer and admirer." He spent ten-fifteen minutes learning about our business, Leslie Office Supply, Inc., and his interest was sincere.
