I have fond memories of the Browns from my days in Monroe. Billy was a good friend. I often sought his advice, and he was always generous in giving it. Billy always said "politics is a great game" and I believe he really enjoyed it. He was also fun to play tennis with. Francie joins me in extended heartfelt condolences to Eleanor and the kids.

In 1948 we moved to Lake Providence, and went to every football game that year. We at that time were new students, but we loved to watch him move on the football field. He was such
a good athlete. In later years, we used his Firm for legal matters. Know he will be missed.... Cecile Chapman Marzula and Joy Chapman Barriett.

Mr Brown gave my mother her first opportunity to practice law, assisting on the First Use case. A lion of North Louisiana, he will be missed. I am hopeful that peace and ease comes to your family in this difficult time.

Dear Eleanor : Billy was one of the great ones. I recall our friendship with the warmest affection. Mary and I send our regards and love to you. Bennett Johnston

We will miss his quick wit, his bright smile, his special shuffle when he walked, and his gleaming pre mature grey hair. Billy Brown was one of a kind. we were not kin, but I...
