Not sure what to say?

My first memory of Mr. Browning was when my second grade class took a field trip to a bog- in 1970. I would see him as I went through many more classes in Ann Arbor. I returned to teach for the AAPS, as a music teacher in 1985. Mr. Browning would stop in and listen to me sing on occasion calling saying "How is the sweet singer today?"... I even played soccer with him and other teachers on the Ann Arbor Community Soccer league... What a great human being Bill was!... Thank you Bill for...

Bill was my classmate and friend at Park College, Class of 1953. Bill met me at the train station in Kansas City when I first arrived as a student, and drove me to the campus. He was a true leader, and dearly loved by all. He was smart, friendly, compassionate, and athletic. I am so happy to read here what a profound effect he has had with so many studentss. I just learned of his death belatedly in our college magazine. Blessings to all his family. Ed Thwaites, Westminster, Colorado

Bill was the most inclusive man children could have at the helm. He never left a question unanswered, admitted when he didn't know or was wrong and imparted love of the natural world. And so he made this world a better place. Thank You, Bill Browning.

Dear Mary, I remember Bill fondly when you were steering us through the adoption process. He was kind, soft spoken and always smiling. Such a great loss for your family and you. The kids and I send our gratitude and caring. Jane Doner

"Mr. B" was my 6th grade teacher. He taught us soccer skills, chess and most important, life skills. Rest in peace and God bless you and your family.

Although I was not in Mr. Browning's 6th grade class, he knew everyone and we all felt included in his world.

He inaugurated the woodchip distribution through the paths of the Haisley School Woods, and I remember today the joy of being on this project: the earthy smell of the chips, the springy bounce of our step over the newly made trail, the sound of the birds singing as all of us chattered away, the good feel of accomplishment.

I do believe that is the root of my...

Mr. "B" was my 6th grade teacher at Haisley (class of 64), and is the one teacher who inspired my interest in science, and sport, coaching and playing soccer with us at lunch, rain or shine. My condolences to the entire family, he will be missed.

CIrca 1992...to a wonderful coach!
