William was born in Flint, Michigan on September 29, 1968, the son of the late Robert and Beverly (Rushow) Budae and was a resident of Burton.

Bill graduated from Kearsley High School Class of 1986 and attended Ferris State University and Baker College.

Bill was an extraordinary athlete in multiple sports. He was a captain of the Kearsley Varsity Hockey team in his senior year of High School, and he helped lead the team to the Big 9 championship and the State regional championship. In 1986 he held the title for most goals (14) for a defenseman in one season. In the same season he also held the title for most points (8) as a defenseman in a state tournament. He also had the honor of playing for the Kearsley Varsity hockey team as a High School freshman, an honor not bestowed to many. Kearsley Varsity Hockey also won the State regional championship in 1983. Bill also played on the golf and tennis team for Kearsley High School. He received many sports honors and accolades during his High School years.

Bill was an avid Lions football fan, U of M football fan, and Red Wings fan. As a youngster Bill would rush home from school to devour the sports page. He could recite most sports statistics with ease.

Bill was quite a talented golfer and enjoyed golf up until the time of his passing. His enthusiasm for golf started at an early age with Flint Junior golf. A great accomplishment for Bill was that he scored a hole-in-one on a 200-yard par 3.

R I P Bill.

Many good years & laughs working with Bill at Flint Welding Supply! So sad to see this ... so soon after losing his Dad! Prayers sent to The Budae Family RIP Bill Jim & Carol Mrdutt

I pray that your journey to heaven is a smooth one. I recall all the fun we had in Calvert park subdivision. It was my pleasure to be call Bill for the first week of Kearsley High golf practice. Our Mom's did ever other day of drop off and coach RDL got us mixed up since we both came from the same vehicle. LOL. I had not seen Bill to much since high school. He did stop in at Richfield Bowl a few years back and we were able to catch up. Glad he did.

Sending peace to Bill in his transition, and to the Budae and the Hadaway family members as you say your goodbyes to Bill. Sending condolences with sympathy...
