Not sure what to say?

I so admired Dr. Bill. Arlene Polster

My deepest condolences to Dr. Buscemi's family. I would just like to honor his memory by echoing what others have said about his teaching. He was a living example of what academics should be all about: encouraging students to think critically and respect the opinions of others. Without a doubt, he was the best teacher I ever had. He also had a great personality! May he rest in peace.

I met Bill in 1946 we were both 10 years old. We became fast friends. It was in 1951 or 52 when we took a trip with Charlie Broderick to Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri Illinois and Indiana. We had a great time. We graduated together in 1954. I lost track of him when I joined the Army the next year and then went to California. I would see him every now and then at the restaurant. I guess we both got involved in politics, bill through teaching and me as mayor of West Jefferson. ...

Dr Buscemi´s Conservatives and Liberals class still is an aspect of my critical thinking to this day. I have told my wife and kids about the class and the need for people to see and respect more then one side to an issue. You can still believe one thing and respect someone who believes something different. Thank you Dr. Buscemi

Dr. Buscemi was the best and most stimulating professor I had at either Wittenberg or OSU graduate school. He challenged and developed my critical thinking, which benefited me the rest of my life. William Vollrath '71

Rest In Peace Dr B. Thank you for all you taught so many of us. Bryan Flanagan, Wittenberg `74

I am sorry to hear about Bill's passing and offer my condolences to his family and friends. I met Bill on the Reid Golf Course with the Wittenberg golf group. I enjoyed playing with Bill, but if I watched his swing to much mine would get worse. (He had, arguably, the strangest swing I've ever seen, but it worked for him) Yet, he was able to move the ball around the course. He was even more interesting to talk with while we played. His presence was wide-reaching and he will be missed by many.
