Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USN during WW II and the Korean War and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

When I was a child around 11 or 12 I was brought to Dr. Butcher. I remember to this day how frightened I was and how very kind and soft-spoken and reassuring he was. After just a few moments with him my fear of being examined nearly melted away. I never forgot how kind he was to me.

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.

It was with great sadness that I read of the passing of Dr. Bill. While driving the courtesy bus for Atria Living Manor I had the wonderful opportunity to share a great deal of time with him and it was a joy.
Whether it was going to the Health Center for his morning workout, the library where we discussed our favorite authors or simply to the bank it was a highlight of my day.
My sincere condolences to you all and I know he will be missed by many.

Dr. Butcher performed my dad's bypass surgery in 1977, giving him an additional 12 years with his family. I remember well the conversation he had with us about the dilemma we were facing with the seriousness of his condition. He clearly was a kind and gentle person and incredible at his craft as a 'restorer of life'.
