Not sure what to say?

Please accept my sincere condolences. I met Bill and Catherine in Prague and later many times in New York when they became strong supporters of the Vaclav Havel Library Foundation. It was a very special time that I cherished and I will never forget. Rest in Eternal Peace.

It is with sadness and a flood of nostalgia and memories of a Huntsville area political campaign for Bill Cabaniss, I share these words. When asked by John Cockerham, Betsy and Peter Lowe to volunteer on his behalf, my husband, David, and I responded. We strategized with others, we wrote articles for a newsletter, so well done by Reta McKennan, and did door to door! Bill served the people of Alabama well and was loved and admired by all!

For many years I took Auburn University students to the Czech Republic. The ambassador always welcomed us to his home or office. He wa so gracious. I often saw him at church in Prague. He was an incredible person and me and my students were so fortunate to know him

My condolences to the Cabaniss Family. I will cherish the fond memories we shared My Friend.

I met Mr Cabaniss in 2021 as a caregiver and upon meeting him I knew right away that he was a special person. It was my pleasure taking care of him. We became so close, it didn´t feel like work it was like home. Mr Cabaniss will be truly missed.

I am so sad to learn of the death of a very great man who accomplished so much for Birmingham, for Alabama, for the United States, and for the world. Mr. Cabaniss (as I always knew him) was a longtime friend of my father, and a key supporter and mentor when Dad took over his old District 46 seat in the Alabama House of Representatives in 1986. I have fond memories, as a 13-year old House Page in the summer of 1987, of watching then Senator Cabaniss command the Senate Chamber and work the...

On behalf of American Friends of the Czech Republic, we extend our deepest sympathy to his family and especially to his loving daughters. Bill was a valued director on our board for many years. He was an outstanding ambassador to the Czech Republic and a superb representative of what is best in our American principles. The consummate gentleman, Bill was kind and gracious to all. He was also a very good advisor. Those of us who knew him well loved him. We also loved his wife, Catherine, a...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I covered Sen. Cabaniss for The Birmingham News when he ran for the U.S. Senate in 1990. He struck me as a class act, a man of integrity and decency, a man who could talk policy at length who had a sense of humor, a man worthy of respect. Please accept my deepest condolences.
