Earl was a great guy and a wonderful scout. I know he loved the boys and was willing to do what he could for them. Troop 2 will really miss him.

I'll never forget Earl. He always had a story to tell me and his heart was in the right place. It was amazing how he cared for his sister during her illness and I will always admire him for that. I'm glad I knew Earl and my thoughts and prayers go out to all of the family.
God bless each of you,

I met Earl more than 30 years ago when my son became a Boy Scout. Over the next few years, we developed a close, and lasting, friendship.
Earl devoted a large part of his life to Scouting, and, in the process, touched the lives of many boys and adult Scouters. Earl once told me that he would never be able to give back to Scouting what he had gotten out of it...it helped keep him thinking young.
He was an accomplished outdoor cook...many a Scout who never cared much for...

Earl was always willing to lend a helping hand at Camp Powhatan. His love of Scouting was evident every time he showed up to help. My condolences to your family, he will be missed by many!
