Death was a thief.

I was fortunate to work with Bill for many years on professional responsibility matters at our law firm. He carried a heavy burden in that job, but was big enough to bear the load. How he kept his sense of humor, I will never know.. but he did. On hearing the news of his passing, all I could think of were a few lines from an Edwin Markham poem:

"As when a lordly cedar, green with boughs,
Goes down with a great shout upon the hills,
And leaves a lonesome...

Dear family and friends, God is watching over all of the dearly departed. He has promised to help all those who have fallen asleep in death.
