Not sure what to say?

Fond and appreciative memories of Fr. Capik from Notre Dame High School 1959-1963. He was an ubiquitous guiding presence and a special mentor to countless students. His youthful energy and strenuous dedication, in great measure, helped Notre Dame, a new school at the time, establish a solid foundation. And he had a lovely sense of humor. Rest in peace. Pat Ryan NDHS `63

Great memories of Msgr. Capik when he was principal of Holy Cross High School! He was a good man and a great leader!

Fr. Capik was a very energetic and well - liked priest at ND in Lawrenceville . We were the second class at ND from 1958- 1962 . Fr. Capik was a remarkable person . MaybGod bless him forever ! Thankyou for your dedication and love , Father !

Losing a soul as special as Msgr. Capik feels like a treasure slipping away; that sadness will be shared by the many, many people his life touched. When I came to NJ visiting my mother he never missed a night of her cooking, intelligent and funny conversation and a blessing for all before leaving. Msgr. Capik was one of the few people, at her age, left to talk with, and I owe many thanks for the comfort he provided until her passing.

I will always remember Msgr. Capik for his leadership as well as his effort to foster vocations. He was so supportive all the time our son Father Dan Groody was going thru his formation and for concelebrating his first mass at St James in 1993. May he rest in peace for years of hard work for the kingdom of God.

Met him in high school where he served as AD and mentoring our football team as the bus driver , where he clearly monitored our male egos to be better Christian´s . He was tough , fair , humorous , athletic , and devoted to God in a way that made him approachable . Our family adored him and we remember the annual father´s club picnic where he comfortably mixed with the dads devoted to Notre Dame High School. My best memory happened when he stood up to some rowdy high school students who...

Monsignor was a dear friend to my mother and father, Mary and Jack Flannery. He was definitely my mom's best friend after many of their acquaintances and my dad passed away. He had a good sense of humor and was dedicated to serving others.

My condolences to the family and friends. I remember him at Notre Dame High School. He was always available in his office and so much fun to be around. Always smiling, great sense of humor, and a really good teacher and mentor of all of us. God bless him.

Msgr.Capik served at my daughter´s wedding and my mother-in-law´s funeral. He always knew the proper words for any occasion. He would console or provide comic relief, whatever was appropriate. He will always be in my prayers.
