Not sure what to say?

My family and I(Norma, Zandra of Lexington and Bryan) are truely sorry for the loss of Bill. Everytime we saw him he was always smiling and full of kind words. Frances please take care of yourself.

Mrs. Capps & Family,
I had the privilege of getting to know Mr. Capps while playing youth baseball throug the years in Pittsylvania County. I even got to play for him one summer when he was an assistant coach for our county all-star team. As I got older, the time eventually came when I had to go play baseball for Mr. Capps' bitter rival, Tunstall! But I always looked forward to playing Dan River because I knew that Mr. Capps would be there. And though I was certain that he would be...

I remember times with Uncle Bill back in Rocky Mount at Grandma and Grandpa Capps'. I thought of him as man of God and remember going to their church back when I was little for VBS and being proud that he was my uncle. I beleive that he planted seeds for the relationship I now have with our the Lord Jesus. We will deeply miss him at our family reunions, but him life legacy will live on.

We were so sorry to hear the news about Uncle Bill. He was such a compassionate and caring man and will be missed greatly by all who knew him. You are all in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

We are greatly saddened by Uncle Billy's passing. What a man. What lives he touched. How lucky those who knew him.

I knew Uncle Billy much more closely in my youth than later, but what an effect he wrought not just in me, but in my brother Steve. For myself, I got my Christian conscience from Uncle Billy and Aunt Frances, and unlikely would have had much of one otherwise. It's among my most treasured of gifts, even a small part of which legacy I hope to instill in my own two boys, like...

1997 Uncle Bill in Navarre,FL

Uncle Bill has always had the Best garden! I have had to call him in the past couple years about how to do the tomatoes and the peas when we moved to OHIO. Everyone has loved my tomatoes the best for the last 2 years at work( you always have to grow enough to give away!!!) I will definitely miss him for his farming and gardening expertise!
He was such a gentle man with the "Capps" stern voice when raising us kids. Some may not know that when Uncle Bill and Aunt Francis were newly married...

Mrs. Capps and Family,

I pray that God will give you peace, strength, and comfort at this time. No matter where he lived it seems he made a huge impact on young people's lives. I count myself as one of those. I always appreciated the time he took with us boys to camp or sit in the rain at an RA day at Wake Forest. Those are memories I will keep with me forever. Thank you for sharing him with us. 1 John 5:12-13

I was deeply saddened to hear of Bill's death. He is fondly remembered as a man who set a great example to everyone who came in contact with him. I was privileged to help him for a few years and it was evident that he cared dearly for the boys and they really loved him. You will be in my prayers.
