Not sure what to say?

My sympathies to Bills' family. I remember working with Bill as a member of Vanguard Theatre and pray his family will find solace in knowing he will be remembered, fondly.

Among the brightest spots on the stage of my memories of ANA was Mr. Carden's drama class. The personal encouragements this quiet and unassuming but great man gave to me formed a major contribution in the direction of my whole life. I know he had the same kind of effect on many of us.

I hope some day to retire to a teachng position. If I am so blessed, Mr. Carden will again be a major inspiration to me.

thank you

My condolences to the family on your loss and the Lord's gain. I have fond memories of Bill, having acted with him in a play, "Mrs. Warrens Profession" as well as in a couple of staged readings over the years. He was always enjoyable to be around and professional to perform with. He has added to my life by having known him. May God bless you and comfort you in your loss.

We remembered fondly his 80th birthday celebration, feeling honored to have been included. Bill and I shared the stage a number of times. The last show we did together was "Mrs. Warren's Profession" at Vanguard Theatre Ensemble. He was The Reverend, collar and all. We also did a number of Reader's Repertory Theater productions under the direction of another friend,...

Mr. Carden was a great teacher and friend of all cadets at ANA. His quiet manner and enthusiasm were a blessed balance to all the craziness of a cadets life. It is a sorrow to say so long, but what a joy theat this is not good bye! May God bless you Paul and all your family.

I'll never forget my years under Mr. Carden's leadership and direction at Army Navy Academy, 1972-73. As President of Masque and Wig, I received neither a masque nor a wig. I received far more: the chance to learn from the incredible William F. Carden, and to flourish in my gift for things dramatic, because he took a personal interest in me.

I've stayed in touch with his son Paul for all these years, and I'm so sorry to see Mr. Carden leave us. But he lives on, so brightly, as I...
