It is never easy to say good bye to an icon William Lee Carr Sr. was that and much more. He will always be more than just Bill. I was lucky enough to meet him in 1988 while being a “chicano” in his turn and to call him a mentor to all who corner work would be a terrible disservice to the man. His role and influence will be felt in this region for years to come as the Bill stories get retold again and again at our beer fueled socials.
