Tammy, I just got back in town from vacation and I am saddened by the news of Bill's passing. I just met Bill last fall umpiring games with him at SWLL. I always looked forward working games with him. If you remember we went together as a team and worked the Winter World Series in Charlotte last October. Spending time with him that weekend talking baseball and life in general, I realized Bill was not only a GREAT umpire but, a GREAT man as well. I will miss seeing him at the ball fields...

Tammy, I just got home from vacation and very saddened to hear the news of Bill's passing. I met Bill last fall on the baseball field as a partner calling games at SWLL. We spent some quality time together. From that time we shared and the talks we had that weekend and other times on the field, I came to realize...

Tammy and family,
I was at the church service but had to finally leave the receiving line regretfully. As a neighbor I will miss seeing Bill go by and always enjoyed running into him at work. What an inspiration he was to so many. I will keep your family in my prayers.

We always appreciated the way Bill would coach the kids throughout a game, such as helping our son, Will, coming off the mound or having a tough "at-bat". He was a valued asset to the Southwest Little League family. We will miss his enthusiasm watching and helping young kids grow as baseball players.
Very Respectfully,
The Harrington Family
