Mr. Charles,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USMC in the Pacific during WW II fighting the Japanese. It was the history and accomplishments made by you and your fellow Marines back then that all of us Marines who followed in your footsteps have always tried to live up to. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Dear family, Silver Pines won't be the same without him. I'll miss seeing him working in the garden as I walk the neighborhood. He always had a smile and a big hello for me. I was lucky enough to get some of his beautiful hydrangeas for my yard and will think of him whenever I look out my window. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
