U.S. Army Veteran, beloved husband of Violet; dear father of Sylvia (Larry) Centracchio and Violet (Donald) Koenig; loving grandfather of Laura Sylvia Koenig; great-grandfather of Dana and Miles; fond brother of Evelyn Venters and Anna Mae (Kermit) Thorn. Visitation Friday, 3 to 9 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Rd. (at Cumberland), Park Ridge. In state Saturday, 11 a.m. until time of service 1 p.m. at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 260 N.
