RIP Brother. Love and Miss you

Missing you my brother

Rip Will always miss your fun cool and kind hearted spirit William Coates . I hope your nurturing spirit still walks the halls of Garrison Elementary School DCPS. Hope your son, my former student Carlos is well

To the Coats family, you have my deepest sympathy.
To Carlos may God bless you during these trying times. It's difficult to lose a parent, especially a dad/friend. Your dad was a great man and one of the coolest DC men I've met :). He had a calming spirit, a sense of humor and unconditional LOVE for you. Honor his name in everything you do. Peace be with you....

Mr. Coates was a great co-worker. He always was there to support the staff. He had a great love for children. He will be truly missed.
To Carlos and Family

May you rest in peace my friend

Carlos right now is hard to think of your future without him in your life, but as time goes by it gets better. Always remember his favorite expression when something trouble you and you ask for his advise: "Son the choice is your, always try to do the best that you can". He will be miss, my prayer to God is that He gives you the strength to keep going and be just like him when the time come and your own child ask you for your advise. Alwayas remember that. Be strong. I remember how much your dad loved you, Carlos! He was a good man and you are blessed to have had him for a dad.

Andrea Irby Robinson, Retired Principal Garrison ES

I will remember with great fondness the conversations and laughs we shared. You were real! My pre-k students loved you so much. You were a gentle giant to them - encouraging and fun loving. We will all miss you and the care and friendship that you gave to us.
