Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Cook. He was an awesome Dr.,and compassiate to his patients and staff. I enjoyed working with him over the years. I remember once I went with him to change a dsging. Knowing he he was I loaded my pockets with everything that he would need and different sizes. So when we started he looked over what I had laid out and then ask for a different size syringe, and guess what I had it,plus other stuff he wanted and I got the grin that he was pleased. I...

He was such a caring and capable surgeon, Aided the families as well as the patient. We trusted his judgement and abilities. He will be missed so much.

Dr. Cook and his wife Jan were so kind to my husband and I when we moved here, even bringing a pie to our home when our second child was born. They were both always so encouraging and down to earth, making us feel like family. We are so sad to hear of Dr. Cook's illness and passing. Prayers and thoughts are with his family. May all the wonderful memories of his full and meaningful life give all his loved ones comfort in their time of sorrow. God Bless this family for their dedication...

What a wonderful surgeon Dr. Cook was He did so much for us here in Eastern Ky. He was kind and caring to all his patients. He went beyond what most physicians do. It was a pleasure to work at Highlands when he was there. Christine Furman

My nursing career started in 1980. Dr. Cook was one of our surgeons and to say he was amazing is an understatement. He was one of the best physicians that I ever worked with. His teaching and continuous mentoring gave me knowledge that I carry with me to this day. His respect for nurses was evident in every interaction we had with him. He was dedicated, professional and kind to his patients. Heaven gained a most deserving angel.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Cook at HRMC for several years and I respected him so much. I remember he would always ask for different syrings when doing a dsg so I would load my pockets up and when asked and I pulled them out of my pocket He gave me the smile that meant he approved. So sorry of his passing he was a wonderful Dr.

Dr. Cook performed surgery on me when I was 5 years old and later when I was a nurse at HRMC I took care of some of his patients in ICU. He was a excellent surgeon. My condolences to the family, Jan, Jeff and Peter. Mary Burchett, Lexington, KY

I fondly remember him helping me while working at Highlands Surgery. He would test my anatomy knowledge, was kind and encouraging. RIP Dr. Cook
