Bill was a great neighbor and longtime friend. Loved his sense of humor. He will be missed by our family.

Bill was always friendly and very personable, and very tennis focused. He fought hard on the courts and hung in there until the end, especially after some painful shoulder surgeries, etc. He had a great personality and sense of humor. He had a unique funny way of saying things. Bill will be remembered for his fighting spirit both on and off the court, & for being a fun guy! Many condolences to E.J. , friends and family, who cared for him until the end.

I know Bill and EJ through tennis. Bill was a very nice, fair, and good player. He is missed from the tennis scene. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Although I didn´t know Bill well, I do know E.J. well and saw the love and devotion between the two of them.

Bill was a great guy & tennis player....he taught (schooled) me in the fine art of dinking & touch while playing with & mainly against him at Homestead Country Club. He "rushed" me to join the close HCC fraternity of tennis players & then to the Pickle Barrel for few cold ones. Bill Rest in Peace. Mark Hauber
