Sanger, California
Our beloved Bill went home to be with his family on Thursday, April 2, 2015, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Bill passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones. Bill was born in Sanger, CA where he lived until entering the military during World War II. Upon returning, he established his successful business, Cooper Trucking, with his father, W.E. Cooper during the 1950's. He retired in the 1990's, to care for his wife who developed breast cancer. He later spent time caring for others facing cancer and being with his family and friends. The family would like to specially thank Joanne Gonzalez, for caring for him at home during his final years; and his best friend of a lifetime, Kiyoshi Komoto, for everything. He was preceded in death by his wife Gerda; parents, Goldie and Everett; and brothers, Roy and Darell Cooper. He is survived by his son, Eric Cooper; and his son's spouse, Steven Little; brother, Ray Cooper and his wife Irene; and sister, Marie Coley. This is in addition to many nieces, nephews, and their families, who loved him dearly. Visitation will be held at Wallin's Sanger Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Church Service will be held at Bethel Community Church in Sanger, CA, on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow at Sanger Cemetery. Bill was the most precious man...I am so very, very blessed to be his as he said..his "adopted daughter" from Washington. My father and grandfather worked for Bill and his father many, many years ago...there were such wonderful stories Bill would tell me..I enjoyed them all and of course we would end up laughing. When my dad had lung cancer..Bill was always there to help him and take him to his treatments and would bring my dad and mom Mcdonalds for lunch/dinner. My Papa Bill you rest in...
