William E. Copeland Sr.

This is uncanny but I was just speaking with my husband about Dr. Copeland Sr. last night not realizing it is coming upon the anniversary of his death. Everything I said back in 2006 at his passing is still true today. I still miss him and think about him often. A great doctor and a great human being.

I was sorry to hear of Dr. Copeland's death. He was a wonderful physician and confidante and my only gynecologist from 1963 to 1994 when I moved to San Francisco. I visited him in his office in the summer of 1999. At that time he told me he was retiring.

My prayers are with his family.

Being in Florida, I just heard of Bill's passing.Please accept our sincerest condolences. It was my good fortune to have known this fine gentleman both personally and professionally. He was indeed one of the finest men I have ever met and I admired him greatly as did my wife (Gerry) who was his patient. Our thughts and prayers go out to Carolyn and all of the family

I was an employee of Dr. Copelands approximately 7-8 years ago before moving to Wisconsin. I remember when I met Dr. Copeland, Sr. He had told Justine (office manager at the time) to hire me because I was from WV and all the good people come from WV. I enjoyed the time I worked with him and got to know him. I remember making popcorn for him almost every day. (haha) He was a wonderful, compasionate man. He will be sadly missed. I will always remember Dr Copeland's kindness. He was a wonderful boss. He always made sure that all of his staff were taken care of very well. He never left in the evening without checking on us to see if we were almost done and if he could help. I still remember a few of those jokes he would tell which made us all smile. With love my thoughts and prayers go out to Mrs. Copeland and family.

I was sorry to hear that Dr. "C" passed away last Friday. I hope that it was peacefull. "Copee", as he is referred to by my parents, taught my father during med school at OSU in the early '60s. He has been a part of my family's lore since before my birth. He delivered me and my two younger brothers. Family legend has it that although he already had three boys, after my delivery he told my parents that they should let him adopt me since I had blue eyes like his and wasn't dark complected...

Please accept my since sympathy on the passing of such a great person. I am 70 years old and Dr. Bill was my doctor from the age of 21. He was such a wonderful, kind and loving person as was his son Dr. Bill, Jr. I am now a patient of Dr. Chris whom I have the greatest admiration. I join in your loss, but feel honored to have know such a wonderful human being. I am presently in Galapagos until mid March. That is why I must send this type of message to your loving family.

I was so saddened to hear of Dr. Copeland Sr's passing. He was a kind, gentle, caring, doctor who helped me through struggles of infertility and delivered our first child 23 years ago. When my husband called him in the middle of the night 23 years ago, and we did not know if I was in labor he asked my husband to see if my toes were "curled".
