Not sure what to say?

I met Bill and Andrea on a cruise ship 15 years ago, spending only a few days with them. However, Bill was the kind of guy you were drawn to, wanted to listen to, wanted to exchange ideas with. ...and he was fun. Just a great guy!

Chief Corbett was the finest law enforcement leader in the field. His sense of honor and the dignity with which he carried himself and treated all people was truly inspiring. As a young officer I looked up to him and was grateful for his unending patience. As a 40 year veteran I remain in awe of him. You will always be my Chief-

Bill was one of the finest men I ever knew and one great Chief. He made the A.A. police Department a first class force and as a former Air Force Commander myself , I marveled at the discipline and professionalism of the Department. He was a friend and the best hire I ever made in my career! I shall always remember Chief Corbett .Former A.A. Mayor, Lou Belcher

Every day that I deal with a police or fire department problem, I think of Bill. I frequently ask myself, how would Bill have handled that problem. He still is a mentor. And he alway will be a friend.

Beside being a great police chief ,Bill was a great friend and I always enjoyed our conversations about a world of subjects. He was a leader and a true gentleman. Lou Belcher, Ann Arbor Mayor.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...

I am deeply sorry about the loss of a dear friend. A man of courage, unselfishness, strength and leadership skills. Bill was truly a Giant among us, a Chief among Chiefs. May God be with him, his family and friends. Bill Hegarty, retired Chief of Police, Grand Rapids, Michigan

I had the honor and pleasure of getting to know Chief Corbett during the development of the Environmental Impact Statement for the Blue Water Bridge Improvement Project. He was a kind, honest, and forthright man who asked the right questions, was respectful in his objections, and always approachable. He will be missed.

Shawn and Kelly, My prayers are with you. I was one of your friends in the late 1950s. I periodically stopped to see your mom and dad. Will miss WildemerPutPutCabage.
