Not sure what to say?

The first time I met Bill was at Wednesday night hockey. Someone had added him to our roster. He had a pony tail and looked like he hadn't shaved in a week. I asked who is this guy and where did he come from. If I remember correctly he was working undercover in southern CT. As it turned out he was just a great teammate and friend. I do think of Bill often!!

As a teen, Bill was kind, sweet, smart and was mature beyond his years. I remember that he cherished his high school friends, he loved his '67 Camaro, listened to Motley Crew (or Judas Priest?) and had a dream to become a state trooper. Over the past 20 years, I was lucky to run into him a handful of times - he always had a laugh to give or a story to share, that was full of warmth and happiness from a life that was very well lived. I have many fond memories. My deepest sympathy to the...

So sad to learn that Bill passed away. Thanks for the advice and laughs over years from Troop B to CSP BCI. RIP Trooper.

Sue, Ryan and Trevor we are so sorry for your loss. Our hearts go out to you at this very difficult time. Mark, Renee, Jordan & Colin Broadbent

I am deeply saddened to learn of Bill´s passing. While I haven´t seen him for years, he held a special place in my life and so many lives going back to high school. I know that Suellen, Ryan, and Trevor, and all his other family and friends, will hold him in their hearts forever.

I grew up in EL with Bill and the neighborhood boys...great memories... we were all rascals for sure. Bill always had a great laugh(snicker)....made you feel good to be his friend. He was a hockey guy and I was a skier...he came out skiing at Blanford a couple times. I left EL at 18. Sorry I lost contact with Bill and the old neighborhood gang but I will never forget what a good guy he was...inclusive...kind and I feel lucky to have known him.

Dear Suellen, Trevor, and Ryan, I was so sorry to hear about Bill. We grew up together, and I´ll always remember those days - growing up in East Longmeadow. Bill had that easy smile and Irish kind of spirit - the sort that made everyone around him feel welcome. I´ll carry those memories always. As the Irish say, "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal." Thinking of you all and wishing you peace and comfort in the days ahead. With sympathy and...

My sincere condolences to the Crawford family. I worked with Bill at Troop C and he was a top notch trooper and just an all around great person. I´m saddened by this news, but proud for Bill and his family that his sons have followed him into the family business. Michael B Darcy Connecticut State Police Major (Retired), Thompson, CT.

Bill was an amazing person. Always so joyful and over the top friendly. We often talked about hockey games, his golf adventures and current cooking experiences. In the time I have known him he became more than a court appointed guard but a really good friend. I am definitely going to miss him and his friendship. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all that knew him. May he rest in peace. I will miss you buddy.
