William "Billy" Crook passed away on February 2, 2014 at the age of 66, after a hard fought battle with Cancer. His parents, William and Anna Crook, predecease him. He is survived by his wife, Linda; two sons, William Albert Crook, II. (Eileen), and Eric Crook; two step grandchildren, William, and Katelyn Riddick; a sister, Barbara Crockett (Dave); his mother and father-in-law, Peggy and Hartwell Perdue; brothers-in-law, Hartwell Bryson Perdue, Johnny Perdue, and Dexter Perdue (Mary); a sister-in-law, Angela Eaton (Glen); as well as a host of other loving family members and friends. He was a long time resident of Portsmouth attending St. Paul's Catholic School and graduating from Churchland High School. Billy worked for the Atlantic Richfield gas station until graduating from high school. Upon his graduation, he worked for C & P Telephone Company, the Portsmouth Water Department, Norfolk Naval Shipyard as an Electrician, and retiring from the city of Portsmouth as a Traffic Signal Technician. Billy never met a stranger, he was a teenager at heart and would give you the shirt off his back. Billy enjoyed old cars and had a great memory of people, places, music, and movies. His love for cars he passed down to his oldest son Billy and his love of music to his son Eric. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel is handling the arrangements and all services will be private. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
