I have heard so many people say all my life that there is no person as good as Gilbert Crowder. What a true statement. I think of how many of us grew up around the store with Gilbert & Junie watching over us & helping our Mom's & Dad's. Gail & Kenneth thank you so much for sharing your parents love & guidance with all of us. I am so sorry for you loss, you all are in my thoughts & prayers.

I HAVE KNOWN GILBERT AND JUNIE ALL MY LIFE.WITH OUT THEM I DONT KNOW HOW MY FAMILY WOULD HAVE SURVIVED.MY DAD DIED WHEN I WAS 18 MONTHS OLD,THERE WAS 5 KIDS AND ONE ON THE WAY.THERE WAS NO GOVERMENT HELP BACK IN THE 40'S AND 50'S AND VERY LITTLE WORK FOR WOMEN,SO MY MOM HAD TO DO THE WORK THAT WAS MOSTLY FOR MEN.JUNIE AND GILBERT LET MY MOM (FERN WILLIAMS)HAVE GROCERIES FOR US,AND LET HER PAY,WHENEVER SHE COULD.THEY TREATED US LIKE FAMILY,I LOVED THEM VERY MUCH.GILBERT CROWDER WAS AND STILL...
