Not sure what to say?

I knew Bill for a long time. He was like a brother to me. He was so easy going and was very, very smart. We used to play Trivial Pursuit and he knew everything! We also liked Cat Stevens. I am so sorry for his family, especially his daughter and his mother. Natalie is an amazing person and so smart just like her dad. He was so proud of her. He will be missed.

I have worked with Bill for 18 years, car pooled with him and changed jobs together. He was an amazing engineer, person and friend. I never remember him getting angry, and he always had time for you.

One thing that I remember that happened to Bill, which characterizes Bill’s personality, was a time that his car’s water pump broke on his way home. It took him 2 plus hours to get to Staten Island from Great Neck. He had to wait for the car to cool down after stalling several times. His...

Bill was an amazingly solid co-worker - always "more than" dependable. I worked with him on the X-33 and 787 programs. While many of us were willing to go that extra mile, he was always willing to go a few more extra miles!

Bill was a very good friend and co-worker. He had a very easy way about him while managing to get everything done. I'll always have fond memories of Bill whether it be work, card playing, softball, golf or going to a World Series game with him in 2001. I'll especially remember the photo he kept on his desk of his daughter (as a child) hoisted on his shoulders from years ago. He was very happy and very proud.

Dear family, friends, and acquantances of Bill Cummings,
You should know that Bill was a good friend of mine and many others in high school. He wrote in my yearbook: “Good luck in college, and in the future, and with your math notes.” With that third comment, he was alluding to the challenge and fun we had while trying to cope with learning calculus.
Although we haven’t all seen Bill much in recent years, we all have fond memories of those days. We will always remember the good...

I am deeply saddened on hearing that my friend, Bill Cummings, has passed away. We met way back in 1982 when I began employment at Sperry Corp. in Great Neck, NY. We parted ways in 1995 (I was affected by corporate down-sizing and laid off) but, we always kept in touch since then, even if it were only once a year. He was a top-notch professional, meticulous and very diligent in his assignments, always looking for a better or more “elegant” solution. It does not surprise me of his...

Bill was a great coworker down in K-17. His patience and guidance will never be forgotten. We also had a few good laughs during the workday.

Rest in peace.

Bill and I worked together for several years. There were times we went to Florida for a job. Bill would never leave until the task was done and then he would add to it. I used to tell him we were going to miss the plane. He would say to me "what would be the worst thing that could happen." I use that phrase so many times in my life. He also told me when you meet really crazy people pray for them. He did not get upset with people, he never seemed to give up. I haven't seen him in over...

Bill,

I'll always remember the help you gave me and some of the fun we had commuting together a long time ago.
