Not sure what to say?

I´m so sorry to hear about Bills passing !! He was such a wonderful man !! We went to church with him and Jean for years ! Then when my mom passed away he went to California to get her to bring her to Oregon !! Always was genuine and so gracious in our time of shock and despair!!! I know the community will definitely miss him !! Him and Jean are now together again R.I.P.

So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Prayers to his family... he will be missed by many. I went to high school with both Bill and Jean.

When my husband(Donald Quental)passed away Feb 1996,the hospital asked if I had a funeral home if not they would call Davenport's Funeral Home. I didnt know...so they called Davenport's...I was 23 yrs old, only married 3 yrs when he passed, going out of my mind because places were taking advantage of me(he was buried in Cali. Things I was paying funeral home here to do...Cali wanting me to pay them too) Bill Davenport was honest and caring and told me he would do all those calls for me. If...

First met Bill while I was working at the H&N and did death and funeral notices. Bill was such a kind and caring man. He became a friend to our family. He helped us with so many funerals and was always there when we needed to just talk. Bill was one of a kind and it's been a privilege to know him and call him our friend. Janine and Clay

Our family sends heartfelt condolences to each family member of Mr. Davenport. He was always so helpful and he was someone who provided comfort to our family, as we lost many over the several years. God guided him to be our earth angel in greatest time of need. I want to let the family know his work was greatly valued. May the Good Lord bless you all with peace and comfort at this time, as your Loved One travels to the spiritual home, after a life well lived. God bless you all for sharing...

Our deepest sympathy to your family! Our prayers are with you all!

Bill used to call our office and identify himself as "public nuisance number one." I think I remember making him a badge to that effect. A magnificent person who lived the most meaningful kind of life in service and compassion for others. There are many in this world who could take a lesson from him.

You were there for my grandma, aunt and my parents, Orval and Mildred Smith. You always seemed like you were in sorrow there with us as if you were a family member. I hope your legacy will continue. My sympathy to the family.

We have a lot of grief and loss in our tribal community, Mr. Davenport consoled so many of our people and community. I have many memories of Bill since I was a kid. When I was younger I didn´t understand his role, but always knew him to be quiet and kind. As I got older, I came to understand the gentle space he held and loving care he gave to each and every family. He will be greatly missed. Thank you.
