I got the opportunity to meet Bill Dawson in fort pierce in 2016 before I went to BUD/S. He signed the book for me. I read it and then had it framed. Still hanging in my house! One day I´ll break it out of there again and give it a read. Im at ST2 these days and happy to have met him.

I met Mr Dawson in 2017 at the SEAL Museum. It was my #75 Birthday. He was one of my Heros . I had been one of the first Para-Riggers ( support ) with UDT-11,my C.O. was Cdr Norm H Olsen . I was amazed and EXTREMELY honored to meet Mr. Bill Dawson in 2005 , while visiting the UDT - SEAL Museum ! I treasure his book of pionerring the Navy NCDU , his experience, history, knowledgeable and bravery in WW-II. I ask young people if they have any HEROS --- I tell them about the sailor Bill, the Frogman - show them the book ! American needs to know ! " Thank You " Bill Dawson for protecting our country . My heartfelt sympathies go out to your family during this difficult time. I hope the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring much comfort. Just knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Grief can be so very hard, but our special memories can help us to cope. Remember them today and always. 1 Corinthians 15:26.
