Not sure what to say?

Here we are, 4 years on. Our dear friend missing from our circle, his smile and laugh and New York accent absent from our conversations. But not forgotten.

Dear Karen, we were so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was such a breath of fresh air. I know it's been a long time since we have seen each other, but have told so many of Mary Ellen's family how much fun we had together too long ago. Every time we saw you guys we would say: "that was so much fun, we need to get together more with those guys"! I know Bill's passion for food, so we've donated to the Hot Lunch Program; we suspect Bill would like that.

Hope is the thing with feathers -
That perches on the soul -
And sings the tune without words -
And never stops at all -
Your kind, generous, inspirational and loving tune will play on forever in our hearts. Devasted to not say goodbye and tell you how much of a hero you were to me and my family. Thinking of my wonderful family that you and the amasing Karen have guided and loved with gentle kindness, unconditionally. We are all better people for having been in your warm...

Dear Karen, Liam and family,
Mark and I were so sorry to hear of Bills passing. We always enjoyed seeing him. I especially remember you both dancing at Beths wedding. He was so kind to us at my Dads funeral. This is all so tragic. We are so sorry.

Stunned doesn't even come close; Willy, whom I saw just a few weeks ago, epitomized life, energy, humor, good will, and the power of a persistent smile. When we think about losses, here is one that stands out, one whose absence makes the circle of those with whom we live greatly diminished. Words truly escape me. We will miss his presence in our lives.
